As part of the Development team, I’m responsible for our development communications and writing, fundraising financial accounting and reporting, development and communications technology management (CRM, software, etc.), all agency communication vehicles (print, digital materials, web and social media)Highlighted accomplishments include:+ The revision and implementation of our donor communications and development plan, resulting in an over 60% increase in our Annual Appeal revenue, and above-benchmark increases in donor and event revenue.+ The design, implementation and management of our donor database, NeonCRM, including the combining of five database sources, which enhanced our ability to engage with donors more effectively on a personal level.+ The development of a robust website and social media presence, including the development and implementation of an annual communications plan, print newsletters, multiple additional appeals, and more.+ The design and implementation of our first donor survey including the use of a Commitment Score to identify potential legacy gifts.

I focused primarily on developing marketing materials, such as invitations, tickets, flyers, and logos, as well as managing our website, assisting with our social media presence, and developing branding for our recently merged organization. I also assisted with event development and coordination.

Appointed by the Commanding Officer to serve as an information link between command leadership and Navy families aboard the submarine.Highlighted accomplishments responsibilities include:+ The creation of multiple planning documents now utilized at commands throughout the submarine force for pre- and current deployment events and activities.+ Disseminated important information and provided information and referral services to over 250 families.+ Acted as the emergency and crisis manager for families, on and off island.+ Assisted families in developing appropriate expectations for their service member's sea duty tour.+ Prepared families for two deployments, including the planning and execution of pre-deployment nights, conference calls, deployment guides, checklists, and monthly training on the emotional cycles of deployment. + Trained families on security issues, Navy services, disaster preparation and more.+ Trusted to resolve family issues prior to requiring command attention and to advocate on behalf of families while the command is at sea.+ Supported incoming sailors when the command was at sea.+ Managed social media and biweekly newsletters.+ Represented the command at various functions, including the Ombudsman Assembly, Family Readiness group Meetings, and other public events.+ Served through two Commanding Officers and two deployments.

At PCANY, I managed the NYS Parenting Education Partnership and participated in a number of other parenting and children and families-related coalitions and networks, designed and execute the advocacy/legislative lobbying platform and associated materials for PCANY and several other nonprofit organizations.Highlighted accomplishments include:+ Facilitated and grew the 250-organizational member strong NYS Parenting Education Partnership, including the design and distribution of communications (blog, Twitter, eNewsletter, marketing materials) and the coordination of events (focus groups, conferences, coalition meetings, webinars, annual retreats through New York State)+ Successfully managed the PCANY legislative agenda as a registered lobbyist and designed and implemented both the grassroots and online advocacy campaigns, including multiple advocacy days and a rally on the steps of the Capitol+ Keynoted at more than fifty advocacy and coalition events, trained over two-hundred advocates in person and online, presented at more than two dozen conferences on child abuse prevention, sexual abuse prevention, advocacy, parenting education, and more, and participated in numerous coalitions as representative of PCANY+ Obtained multi-year grant funding of over $300,000 per year in pursuit of new initiatives.

At ECLC, I supported the public policy and advocacy work of the Early Care and Learning Council, including the creation of policy language and documents for advocates.

At the DMV, I acted as the Departmenthead for the Broome County Department of Motor Vehicles, including in a liaison role with NYS DMV and the legislature, coordinated media relations and designed public events and programs, website manager for content and design and supervised all administrative activities including human resources, budgetary issues and others.Highlighted accomplishments include:+ Managed a staff of twenty-two, a budget of $2 million, and the opening of two additional satellite offices for a total of five offices+ Coordinated over thirty events, including fifteen press conferences and multiple community-building events, and acted as the Public Information Officer for the County Clerk and DMV

At Rick Blythe for County Clerk, I was responsible for most aspects of the county clerk election campaign of 2005.Highlighted accomplishments include:+ Managed all media relations for the campaign and planned outreach strategies which resulted in a successful election+ Designed and maintained the website, including daily video and content upload

At Senator Libous' office, I assisted in constituent relations, district and public affairs, helping more than six hundred constituents break through the red tape of state government. I also assisted in implementing the "Congrats" outreach campaign as part of a public affairs strategy, writing and disseminating thousands of letters, certificates, and proclamations.

At the Friends of Senator Libous Committee, I worked on both political campaigns and fundraisers, including the annual Steak Roast.Highlighted accomplishments include:+ Acted as Deputy Director of Food Operations at the Annual Steak Roast, acquiring nearly $100,000 in ingredient and materials donations and serving meals cooked by over three-hundred volunteers to four-thousand attendees+ Assisted in marketing development and financial record-keeping through materials design, database coordination, and ticket distribution planning for four-thousand tickets+ Developed multiple mailpieces, door-hangers, and planned over a dozen grassroots fundraisers for local candidates
