Coordinate CHELCO’s communications program, including all design, development, production, and distribution of internal and external communications. Responsible for communicating with and educating and persuading: members, employees, news media, and the general public on the Cooperative’s positions, policies, programs, and opportunities. Further the Cooperative’s communications efforts by tying in additional public relations duties and performing duties assigned through the Emergency Response and Disaster Recovery Plan.

MAIN STREET DEFUNIAK SPRINGS (“MSD”) is dedicated to growing and enlivening DeFuniak's core business district in historic downtown. This 501c3 non-profit is a nationally accredited Main Street organization that supports important initiatives for Historic DeFuniak Springs; brings new events, art, and entertainment into the district; and engages local small businesses. Founded in 2017, MSD is a strong advocate for, and partner in, our district’s revitalization - supported by its businesses, volunteers and community leaders. As Executive Director, Blaich is responsible for implementing the strategic goals and objectives of MSD in accordance with the organization’s stated mission and the guidelines established by the National Main Street program. The Executive Director enables the Board to fulfill its governance function, provides leadership in effective administration, and leads volunteers who comprise MSD and deliver its services.
