My work as the manager of the Makeup team at Fear Factory consists of several duties including: Acting as a creative director and overseeing the creation of props and sceneryWorking with sfx chemicals and tools safelyOrdering products we need while also staying within budgetMentoring and training new artists through our internship program which I helped create and implement, and also revise each year to meet that seasons needsWriting lesson plans including power point presentations for each classHelping other artists to develop their skills with one on one trainings Creating and maintaining an inclusive, team first environmentScheduling and keeping track of each artists hours worked during the seasonCreating new characters and makeup looks following the directive of the owners wants/needsOrganizing and ensuring no theft of property from our costume closetEnsuring that each artist follows proper sanitation protocol

As a direct support staff, I was responsible for advocating for the needs of our programs clients. I worked with 7 different clients, usually two clients per staff. I helped the clients complete daily tasks of living such as: helping with hygiene, giving medication at proper doses at the proper times, planning activities that the client would enjoy, assisting with cooking and cleaning and teaching healthy eating habits. We also worked with a behavioral specialist to track certain behaviors and to try and teach alternative behaviors to increase the clients health and happiness.

I worked as part of the direct TV team, answering calls from customers who had questions about their service.

I had to type quickly and correctly the information presented on the computer screen to code each piece of Mail to ensure it ended up in the proper place

I worked at the Family Support Center’s crisis nursery where we would provide 24 hour respite care to families in need. My job included watching the children, making sure they had meals, clean clothes, and a clean place to sleep. I worked the overnight shift, so was also responsible for ensuring each child’s safety throughout the night. We answered phones and took appointments, often during a families worst crisis moments. I was expected to provide a calm environment for the children no matter what was going on. We worked closely with Child Protective Services, making reports when we felt it was needed. Communication was key and highly important at this job. It was one of my favorite jobs so far.
