Chelsea recently began her studies at the Queens Faculty of Law and hopes to build a career in international or criminal law. She is currently the first year representative for the Jewish Law Students Association (JLSA). Prior to her studies, Chelsea worked as a legal assistant in criminal defence law.While studying for her LSAT, Chelsea worked as a research assistant for Western University researching policies to deepen democracies for the Real Utopia's Project. As a founding member of Israel Policy Forum’s first Canadian Steering Committee 2022, she contributes to leading, planning and facilitating foreign policy events for IPF Atid in Toronto, stimulating nuanced policy discussions. As a former Policy and Research Associate at the Institute for the Global Study of Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP), she conducted research on antisemitism in higher education and facilitated and attended the Institute’s summer programs at Oxford and Cambridge universities in 2022 where she presented her research. Chelsea completed a Master of Public Policy through the international program in Conflict Resolution and Mediation at Tel Aviv University. After living through the escalation in May of 2021, she co-founded an organization called Amplify Unity which saw through her vision of putting together deliberative and empowered forums for university students in Israel to discuss policy issues pertaining to the conflict (the conclusions of which became the basis for policy recommendations in Amplify Unity's reports). In Israel, she also worked as an intern for Alliance for Middle East Peace, a leading peace organization in the region, researching how to enhance the capacity of the Palestinian peacebuilding community to transform the conflict. Chelsea has an Honours undergraduate degree from Western University in Social Justice and Peace Studies (2020), during which she completed a restorative justice internship for an Indigenous rights organization (Atlohsa Family Healing Centre), a legal internship in criminal law, and worked as a legal assistant in family law. Through student leadership, she fundraised and volunteered building homes for low-income families in the community and worked as an organizer in human rights advocacy.Chelsea is bilingual in English and French, and working towards trilingualism by continuing to develop her Hebrew skills. She has a certification in international mediation acknowledged by UNESCO.
