As someone who majored in business and wants to push towards a better and more sustainable future, I have a lot of passion, drive and I especially thrive in positions of leadership. I was on the executive board as Marketing Director where I worked in collaboration with other board members to plan future fundraising events and general body meetings. I also love that with my position, I am given total creative freedom when it comes to creating designs and posting on our clubs social media. I have also been very involved with the Women's March organization and helped lead two marches here in Buffalo to fight for women's rights. Some of the things I was in charge of were coordinating and communicating with the press, creating flyer designs and posting on our Facebook event page. Along with this I had to keep updated communication with our 3 other march leaders. Planning a march of this size and capacity takes a lot of work. Other things that had to be organized include safety patrol, safety cars, a protest permit, collecting poster supplies, medical supplies, etc. Both marches had successful turnouts with the first having over 500 attendees and the second with over 1,000. This experience has allowed me to make great political and organization connections, with people like India Walton and Planned Parenthood officials. It has also taught me the importance of great communication, professionalism and allowed me to gain more experience in leadership positions.
