I am currently a 4th-year Communications student at Capilano University with over four years of customer service experience working in retail and am looking to translate my interpersonal and leadership skills into the world of media and communications. I am a strong communicator and team player who has experience working along side diverse populations. My current internship at Parfait Productions Inc. has given me the opportunity to grow my knowledge and experience working on media releases, social media posts, website content and much more. By the end of my time with them, I am confident I will now be able to employ these skills and strengths when managing successful content processes, developing digital resources and connecting with communities through digital media in the future. In addition to the experiences above, I also have strong organizational and leadership skills that I have gained working in retail. This job has also been able to teach me the importance of teamwork, relationships, collaboration and fulfilling organizational objectives. I am also a “detail-oriented” person, and I use this skill when providing training to new staff and completing daily tasks. When I’m not working or studying, you can usually find me either surrounded by family and friends, on the pitch or immersed in the beautiful nature that the lower mainland has to offer. Whether its hiking, biking, walking or laying at the beach, the BC landscapes never disappoint!I’m eager to use my skills and experience in a role where I am able to create a positive impact.
