I am an award-winning educational professional with over 15 years' experience in higher education. Prior to joining the Office of Sustainability as Experiential Learning Manager, I taught classes spanning the communication studies discipline, including public speaking, persuasion, environmental and science communication, and interpersonal communication. In my current role I am able to combine this experience with my passion for climate and ecological justice as I collaborate with faculty from all disciplines to bring innovative and applied sustainability-based learning experiences to USC students. I believe that universities have a core responsibility to cultivate leaders who are willing to dream big, be bold, and 'use their powers for good'. It is my ultimate goal that through experiential learning all students feel equipped and empowered to face our most pressing collective challenges. In addition to my work with faculty, I also support students in the President's Sustainability Internship Program which provides applied learning experiences across campus sustainability initiatives. During the fall of 2020, I began working as a copywriter and copy editor supporting small businesses develop brand identity via persuasive messaging and compelling content. I also have experience coaching individuals in speechwriting and delivery for a variety of occasions.Outside of work I love cooking, exploring new places, watching sports, and finding any excuse to be outside.
