An experienced administrator eager to take her first steps into the publishing world.Whilst studying Creative Writing, I developed an appreciation for the pre-press phase of a book’s publication. This appreciation soon led to discovering my enjoyment of proofreading and exploring the later opportunities which can lead to a career in copyediting. I am actively developing professional skills in proofreading and copyediting with a future in publishing in mind.Throughout my academic and personal life, I have held a keen interest in the changing trends of YA literature. This interest led to my opening a bookstagram account where I can openly discuss the latest releases with likeminded individuals. My account has been active for almost two years and has already opened the door to exciting opportunities. Such opportunities include getting chosen as a beta reader for an Indie author’s latest YA release.My extensive background in customer service ensures I always work with the consumer in mind; whether it be resolving an issue or selling a package, their experience is always at the forefront of the conversation.
