• Conducted diurnal and nocturnal field surveys for fauna (for the taxa of odonates, butterflies, mammals (including bats), herpetofauna and aquatic fauna) and flora (tree tagging and vegetation plots) as part of baseline studies for Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) • Prepared comprehensive reports outlining the findings of EIAs, assessing environmental risks, and proposing mitigation strategies.• Created maps for baseline findings using ArcGIS and prepared presentation slide decks for engagement with various stakeholders (e.g Nature Groups, governmental agencies and clients)• Participated in project management including budgeting, proposal writing, project scope, and deliverables review• Assisted in the creation of the Biodiversity Accounting Metric for Hong Kong, and the Sustainable Markets Initiative (SMI) Nature Risk tool • Conducted extensive desktop research for the integration of Nature-based solutions, emerging biodiversity markets, and the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) to assist in AECOM’s Nature Positive Services Strategy.• Guided students from local schools about mangrove ecology and impact assessment methodologies

City University Hong Kong - UAiTED 2023 International Internship Program• Extracted environmental DNA (eDNA) from 12 locations to analyse harmful algal bloom (HAB) occurrences. Performed various marine fieldwork techniques including plankton tow, sediment grab, Niskin water samplers and water quality instruments. Identified, isolated and cultured various algal species in water samples• Cooperated with the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department to execute forensic DNA analysis of ≥ 300 samples of illegal wildlife and plant trade via DNA extraction and Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR). Analysed DNA and protein sequences using MEGA software• Performed biological surveys of 3 different Marine Protected Areas via gillnetting and hand lining, after which various marine species were identified, measured and stored for DNA analysis• Cultivated more than 1000 moon jellyfish (Aurelia aurita) ephyra over a period of 1 month for toxicology analysis
