The Marshall Memorial Fellowship (MMF) is GMF’s flagship leadership development program. Created in 1982 to introduce a new generation of European leaders to the United States, it now prepares leaders from both sides of the Atlantic for transatlantic relations. The program relies on 6 months of distance learning and 24 days of first-hand experience to facilitate knowledge and network development for effective transatlantic engagement. GMF awards 75 Marshall Memorial Fellowships each year to candidates from all sectors, including business, government and civil society. The MMF alumni network numbers more than 2,500 leaders. Their transatlantic engagement continues throughout their careers with GMF alumni projects, seminars, and major events.

Texans for Economic Progress is an Austin-based, non-profit advocacy group that monitors the competitive process in key sectors of the Texas economy. TEP keeps its finger on the pulse of Texans and works closely with elected officials and regulators at the local, state, and federal level to further educate them on issues impacting competition in communications. TEP also works to generate public awareness of how Texans’ lives and finances are impacted by decisions made on these issues by our policy-makers.

MPOWER Labs, Inc. is a research and development incubator and business accelerator founded in 2006 as the first portfolio company of MPOWER Ventures, LP -- a double-bottom-line venture capital fund whose mission is to empower the world’s underserved. By working in partnership with MPOWER Ventures to accelerate the development of its portfolio companies as well as to identify and develop new product ideas in the same market space, the teams of MPOWER Labs are catalysts in the realization of global solutions for the underserved.

RISE is the first empowerment series of its kind for entrepreneurs. The first annual RISE took place in Austin Feb 28-March 2, 2007 and more than 400 people participated. For three days, successful business people opened their doors to Austin entrepreneurs with the intention of sharing best practices and advice to help businesses grow and prosper. Co-Founded an advertising agency in Las Vegas, NV with clients in the casino/hospitality industry to include: Regent Las Vegas, Las Vegas Hilton, Tropicana Hotel & Casino, Bally’s Gaming, Flamingo Las Vegas, Station Casinos, McMullan’s Irish Pub, Boulder City Hospital, Family Care International (Mexico-based.) My role was to supervise the account service and production management departments which included negotiating client contracts and supervising all client contact, budget and billing functions.
