Teaching truly is a great passion of mine. Seeing the sparkle in someone’s eyes when they talk about their favorite book; witnessing the “light bulb moment” when a student finally gets a problem that has vexed them for hours; fielding the boldly-asked question sparked by their deepest curiosity—these are the moments that bring me the greatest joy.I am also a teacher of teachers and take pride in being part of my school's leadership. My conviction is that all people are capable of remarkable growth, and to grow, we have to keep learning. I take my cue from the Ancient Greeks, who lived by the concept of arete—striving for excellence in all things. As I guide my students and fellow-teachers to their highest potential, I also work to be the best I can be. We all are lifelong students inspired by the most unexpected teachers, and I am just as much a pupil as I am an instructor.
