Provide strategic and operational human resource management, reporting to the CEO and working with the Board of Director's Compensation Committee, to meet Athabasca’s goals and objectives as the most senior HR professional in the company. Accountable to deliver workforce strategies, total rewards, and talent management initiatives to ensure Athabasca remains competitive within a challenging talent market.

Oversight of human resources function, reporting to the CEO, to ensure employees at all levels are supported in their personal development and rewarded with competitive total rewards. This includes: leading the HR and Office Services teams; developing and maintaining competitive total reward programs (base pay, short term and long term incentives as well as benefit programs); coaching and advising senior leadership on organizational effectiveness; supporting field teams as a generalist; leading large hiring and acquisition efforts, downsizing, and joint venture staffing projects as required; designing and implementing HR programs; using HRIS solutions to drive effectiveness and efficiencies; overseeing payroll; and, overseeing office space and lease management.

Accountable for the design, development and implementation of Athabasca Oil Corporation’s enterprise talent strategies including: organizational effectiveness, performance management, talent acquisition and retention programming. Work relied heavily on coaching abilities and partnering closely with the different business units to provide HR advice and programming.

As Director of Talent Acquistion Canada, led a recruitment department of over 43 recruiters and employment branding specialists across Canada. Responsible for over 7,000 unique hires and 10,000 placements across Canada on an annual basis. Continued to pitch and oversee employment branding consulting (Campus Ambassador programs) for Anheuser-Busch Inbev Global Management Trainee recruiting in Canada, USA, China, Ukraine and Russia. Promoted from Canadian Director to North American Talent Strategies Director in October 2011. Increased responsibilities included leading employment branding to drive over 20,000 hires across North America. Additionally, supported Executives on client multi-million dollar marketing business development pitches from a people/talent perspective.

Responsible for Mosaic’s Employment Brand on select Canadian campuses from Victoria to Halifax while also developing client campus branding programs. Expertise in building campus programming, campus ambassador hiring and training, CV application hosting, and screening in Canada, United States, China, Ukraine, Russia, South Korea (2009), and Western Europe (7 countries in 2009 including UK, France, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, Italy and Spain) for AB InBev. Promoted from Account Manager to Sr. Account Manager in March 2008 as global role expanded.

Managed a team of 3-5 coordinators and upwards of 25 field representatives across Canada to execute marketing campaigns for Labatt, Rogers, DaimlerChrysler, and Mosaic. Managed Mosaic’s Campus Ambassador recruiting program on 10 Campuses from British Columbia to Manitoba.Worked from Mosaic from 2000 to 2004 in various junior capacities as a field representative marketing brands to consumers and managing small regional teams.
