Chelsea Reed is an award-winning leader with decades of experience in business development and philanthropy. She is proud to be the Mayor of her hometown, the City of Palm Beach Gardens, and she is also the Principal Consultant for Smith Reed Partners, assisting executives with advancement and career change. She is the Community Transportation Association of America 2024 Outstanding Community Partner of the Year Award recipient, the Florida Commission for Transportation Disadvantaged 2024 Local Elected Official of the Year, and has been chosen as one of the 'Palm Beach 100', Palm Beach County’s Most Influential Business Leaders by Palm Beach Illustrated in 2024 and 2023. She is the President of Palm Beach County League of Cities, a Home Rule Hero from Florida League of Cities for 2024 and 2023, recipient of the 2023 Distinguished Alumni Award from the Benjamin School, the 2022 Leadership Palm Beach County Public Sector Excellence Award Winner, the 2022 Complete Streets Champion for Palm Beach County, and was 1 of 20 nationally chosen elected officials for the 2021-22 Smart Growth America Champions Institute. Chelsea chairs several boards focused on transportation, resiliency, smart growth, and leadership. For the Palm Beach TPA, she is Chair of Governing Board, the Disadvantaged Local Coordinating Board, and Vice Chair of the Southeast Florida Transportation Council. Under her leadership as Chair, the Palm Beach County Transportation Disadvantaged Local Coordinating Board was named the 2023 Transportation Disadvantaged Local Coordinating Board of the Year by the Florida Commission for the Transportation Disadvantaged.Chelsea also enjoys providing student and professional mentorship, and is a frequent public speaker and panelist. Chelsea and her husband, Michael, have raised two children and built their careers in Palm Beach County.
