Currently working on understanding the use of the mushroom, Cordyceps militaris, as an antibacterial agent.Carried out three years of experiments analyzing reactions of C. militaris when grown upon bacteria including Escherichia coli, Citrobacter freundii, and Enterobacter aerogenes. In addition, surveyed what components of E. coli are utiilized by C. militaris.

Acted as a coordinator for the summer 2024 viticulture and enology program.Spent time arranging research and work schedules for interns of the viticulture and enology program. In addition, training students on viticulture maintenance, including tasks such as the planting, watering, pruning, and fruit thinning of vines. This group was also responsible in calculating the estimated harvest total for the fall 2024 harvest.

Worked in both vineyard maintenance and laboratory research.Vineyard maintenance tasks involved the planting of a novel variety of vines, calculating harvest estimates for fall 2023, as well as pruning and thinning previously planted vines.Laboratory responsibilities included testing local wineries for the presence of the yeast Brettanomyces, as well as analyzing the transformation of microbiomes from freshly planted to already established vines.
