Led Nordstrom's environmental sustainability strategy, goals and initiatives, including those related to climate change, circularity and packaging. Created Nordstrom's sustainable shopping initiative, Sustainable Style, and led product sustainability cross-functionally. Responsible for sustainability content reported by ET members to the Board of Directors. Managed all ESG reporting (SASB, ISS, MSCI, etc.) and led stakeholder engagement activities. Results in role include: - Conducted materiality assessment and feasibility process leading to Nordstrom's 2025 sustainability goals for climate change, products and services, and circularity- Re-established ongoing Board governance process for ESG issues- Expanded Sustainable Style category to include qualified beauty and personal care products- Created and launched award-winning BEAUTYCYCLE recycling program in partnership with TerraCycle (Elle Green Star 2021, Good Housekeeping Sustainable Innovation 2021, Fast Company Honoree 2023)- Developed the company’s first SASB report- Supported first published factory list for Nordstrom Product Group- Achieved inclusion on Barron's 100 Most Sustainable Companies list, at #96 in 2020 and improving to #80 in 2021- Developed Nordstrom's 2016-2019 CSR reportsAdditionally contributed to broader CSR efforts, including human rights strategy and goals, partnerships and CSR-related PR and marketing activities, and direct philanthropic funding for climate, circularity and human rights causes. Selected as Nordstrom representative for 2020 International Group of Department Stores High Potential Programme.
