I currently work as a court reporter/transcriptionist and enjoy the diversity of the job. Each day brings something different and more opportunities to learn. I have been involved in training new hires in the basics of the job and have also been trained myself in the tasks and responsibilities required for the office positions. Additionally I have been trained to create transcripts of legal proceedings which requires precision, attention to detail, the ability to organize, and diligence. I am a conservator by education and I am passionate about that field, especially ceramics conservation. I also enjoy wood, paper, stone, and metal objects. I have a post-graduate certificate in Cultural Heritage Management and Conservation from Fleming College, a BA in Classical and Near Eastern Archaeology, as well as a minor in Medieval Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University. I have previously volunteered as a fossil preparator at the Museum of Nature and gained much of my experience as a conservator from my internship at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum. Recently I have worked on a variety of conservation projects for private individuals. I love to learn new things and acquire new skills; recently I leaned what is involved in the gold mining process and another skill I recently acquired was the basic ability to use a chainsaw. I am always looking to connect with old colleagues and meet new and interesting people.
