I am a Senior Associate and Collection Systems Discipline Lead in Stantec’s Water Business Line. As Project Technical Lead, I provide technical support to municipal clients and utilities on a wide variety of projects including, CSO/SSO modeling and planning, wet weather master planning, long term control plans, combined/separate sewer system characterization under existing and proposed conditions, surface flooding and basement flooding mitigation. In addition to providing H&H modeling training, I lead quality control and provide independent technical reviews for a variety of 1D/2D H&H modeling projects.I have extensive collection system knowledge and experience and have led projects developing high-resolution hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) models in 1-D and 2-D environments using industry standard hydraulic modeling software. These hydraulic models were used to develop a range of alternatives to support decision-making and meet consent driven requirements. I have more than 18 years of experience with calibrating and validating wastewater and stormwater collection system models adhering to strict calibration standards. I have extensive experience utilizing hydraulic models as decision making tools in developing planning level alternatives and preliminary design options involving deep tunnels, consolidation sewers, inline storage options, offline storage tanks, regulator modifications, upsizing interceptor sewers and developing real time control strategies to minimize sewer overflows and maximize sewer system capacity. In addition, my experience includes developing modeling strategies for combined and separate sanitary sewer systems to assess wet weather performance, analyze capacity constraints, inflow/infiltration quantification, identifying hydraulic constraints, analyze future growth conditions, and analyze post vs. pre-rehabilitation effectiveness.
