Nice to meet you. My name is Wang, Chen-Chi of the AAALAC Accredited Animal Resources Section at OIST. I have my professional experience in the laboratory animal facility for about 20 years, in addition to laboratory animal appointed veterinarian (AAALAC, Attending Veterinarian), in vivo research, quarantine of laboratory animals, microbiological monitoring, veterinary management of laboratory animals, We have practical experience such as cryopreservation of embryos and sperm, education and training of facility users, examination of animal experiment plan, renovation work of animal experiment facility.I have trained in the veterinary management of AAALAC standards at the Laboratory Animal Center and Primate Center at the University of California, Davis (UC Davis). I entered the doctoral course (Department of Clinical Molecular Biology), Graduate School of Veterinary Medicine, Hokkaido University, and under the guidance of Professor Mutsumi Inaba, I made a pathological analysis of hereditary diseases in Japanese Black cattle and analyzed the Band3 gene knockout mouse. Also, at the Graduate School of Animal Experiment Facility (Professor Nobuya Sasaki), as a veterinarian for the selection of experimental animals, he performed veterinary management and laboratory monitoring of experimental animals. Contributed to the improvement of veterinary management programs at animal testing facilities. In order to evaluate that the laboratory animal program conducted by the graduate school is in line with the world standard of animal experiment ethics and laboratory animal welfare, the AAALAC International, which is the most authoritative U.S. NPO organization.Regarding officers outside the OIST, the role of committee members in organizations related to experimental animals and animal experiments such as Japan Society for Experimental Animal Science, National University Corporation Animal Experiment Facility Council, Japan Society for Experimental Animal Medicine, and Japan Society for Experimental Animal Medicine I was involved in activities.
