I am currently a Senior Software Engineer at NVIDIA, where I work on cutting-edge products and research in the areas of deep learning and AI. Before joining NVIDIA, I served as a senior applied scientist at Cruise LLC in 3D perception for AV applications, with a focus on LiDAR-based detection, segmentation, and multitask networks.I obtained my Ph.D. from the ECE department of Carnegie Mellon University. My research mainly focuses on developing a robust and cost-efficient perception system for autonomous driving through sensor fusion. Additionally, I apply and develop state-of-the-art deep learning algorithms to accurately detect and segment objects, as well as to solve the long-tail problem for autonomous driving
