Current1. Product development lead• NGS wetlab assay optimization, including assay configuration optimization, troubleshooting, and new protocol implementation.• Automation optimization & troubleshooting with the engineer team.• NGS feature development, including control development, cross-contamination determination, and QC metrics definition.• Collaborate with drylab pipeline team on NGS algorithm development, including logic, feature, parameter definition, timeline estimation, and data review.2. Development study manager of a multi-cancer early detection NGS study of 7,000+ clinical patient samples• Prepare, Plan, organize and schedule work to ensure enough resource for smooth study operation.• Manage wetlab record documentations, including work instructions, sample processing records, and monitoring QC metrics.• Co-designed assay QC metric for wetlab & drylab and wetlab result analysis. • Co-developed a logistic workflow cross-functionally to ensure sample information pass through LIMS to wet lab to compubio pipeline.3. Strategic planning, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration • Plan resource allocation and coordinate effectively with the operator team throughout the project timeline.• Communicate with leadership team on project progress, timeline, roadblocks, and resource needed.• Collaborate with the automation engineer team, drylab team and the LIMS development team on product development and process improvement. • Present and educate on progress and results of research to people outside of the team. 4. People managing & Hiring• Manage and communicate with 8 junior members on team achievement, timeline, changes, and plans. Understand and try to fulfill junior members’ needs.• Manage 1 senior member. Guide to build independency in product development career.• Hiring committee member. Screening resumes, interview and give feedbacks for making decisions on recruiting new team members.
