During the eight-week research attachment, I worked on a triplet-triplet annihilation photon upconversion (TTA-UC) project. Our goal was to use a green-to-blue TTA-UC system to convert green (OLED) light into a mix of green, blue, and red light, creating tunable white light as the output.
Selected for the Nanyang Research Programme (NRP), I conducted research on temperature-dependent Contact Electrification (CE). I discovered an intriguing trend where the CE charge reverses with temperature changes. This led me to propose a temperature-dependent CE mechanism after extensive evaluation and analysis. I independently handled all aspects of the project, from experimental design and execution to data analysis, paper writing, and addressing review comments. The research was published in Langmuir, and I received the Gold Award in NRP 2021.
