UCSB Annual Fund is the collective powerhouse of UCSB. It is the engine that propels education aspirations forward with determination and strength. This non-profit organization drives the development of UCSB by creating resources and fulfilling student’s educational needs into tangible opportunities, with the ultimate goal of providing the best education experience to individuals who work for and study in UCSB. As a student ambassador, I am responsible for building and maintaining positive rapport with alumni and parents by fostering a sense of connection and engagement. At Annual Fund, every team member will explain the institution’s specific projects or initiatives and potentially encourage supporters to make a financial commitment. By doing prospect research, I can identify doners who align with our UCSB fund’s mission and have the passion to contribute. From this experience, I learned how to evaluate individual’s financial capability, interests, and feedback to find the most effective strategies to connect with the prospect. This experience also reinforces my collaboration and communication skills because outreach with prospects require cooperation with supervisor who is in charge of monetary process of the donation. In some cases, our prospects do not speak English, we will find the matched student ambassador.

Assimilated into the recruitment field under human resource management, sorted out and analyzed the recruitment process from the perspective of internal and external recruitment, and clarified the tools, cycles, and costs. Implemented the post Competency Model, using sales and product line as a practical illustration, laying the groundwork for post matching and future alignment.
