- R&D MANAGEMENT. Improved matrix-based project management, enhanced cross-functional collaborations, implemented lean principles in lab operation, and expanded and strengthened the Center’s expertise in biotechnology and chemical engineering. Guided team members to establish Brewing Technology Center. Worked concurrently as Director of Animal Nutrition and Feed Center from Jun 2018 to Feb 2020.- OPEN INNOVATION. In charge of technology scouting, collaboration negotiation, and partnership coordination in biotechnology, chemical engineering and animal nutrition. Being responsible for preparation of National Technology Innovation Center of Advanced Manufacturing for Food and its VC fund.- VALUE CREATION. Launched new products, improved process efficiency, enhanced product quality and created values for more than 100 million RMB per year in food ingredients, biofuels, animal feed and traditional fermented food business. Accomplished pilot or benchmark-scale development of new products, including functional peptides, novel sweeteners, biomaterials and clean label ingredients etc.- BUSINESS MANAGEMENT. Working concurrently as Board Director and General Manager of COFCO Biotechnology (Beijing) Co., Ltd since Jun 2018. Reshaped the company into a platform for biotechnology-based product development, production, sale and investment and turned it around. Founded 2 joint ventures with one public-listed company for sweeteners and one private company for cosmetic ingredients.

- Reduced production costs of biofuels and biochemicals by novel strain development. Developed amino acid derivates and functional peptides.- Enrolled in Morning Light Plan for leadership development and business management training including job rotation in Roquette China.

- Engaged in strategic planning of Biotechnology Center and established Stain Development Team. Built up R&D capabilities and collaboration networks for strain development, enzyme engineering, and microbiome analysis from scratch. - Worked 1 year at Joint BioEnergy Institute of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory for a collaborated project since Jun 2014.

Involved in design and implementation of R&D management system and processes of COFCO. Successfully organized applications for R&D projects and innovation platforms supported by Central or Local Governments.
