Carbon Footprint Program Lead - coordinated company-wide annual carbon accounting data collection and assurance process for Amazon’s 2022 Sustainability Report. Led Amazon’s first year-over-year variance analysis to identify carbon hotspots and reduction drivers with outcomes presented to C-suite executives.

The Climate App is an environmental-social tech startup with mission to harness social power for climate action. The app empowers users to calculate, track, and reduce personal carbon footprint through bite-sized eco-challenges based on IPCC recommendations. It also connects users to communities of mission driven businesses, organizations and climate groups to enact systemic change. I work with the founding team to find, scope, and develop strategic partnerships and craft go-to-market strategies.

Climate impact investing, carbon markets and nature-based solutions

Microsoft Climate Innovation Fund is a $1bn investment initiative to accelerate technology development and deployment of new climate innovations. I led due diligence on impact and communicated climate and social impact potential of the target investments.- Served as a key advisor for the deal team to forecast and articulate carbon, water, waste, ecosystem, and social impact of 18 emerging climate technologies and solutions through quantitative and qualitative analysis.- Drafted talking points for senior leadership and managed press releases to position Microsoft as a leader in climate impact investing.

World Bank is an international financial institution that provides loans and grants to the developing countries’ governments. I employed data analytics and technology to organize campaigns, enhance information transparency and develop risk management proposals to help shape the launch of its flagship Environmental and Social Framework that governs all investment projects across business lines in 173 countries.- Led a team of software developers, E&S experts, and lawyers to redesign a case-tracking system to manage environmental and social complaints regarding World Bank projects. Enhanced efficiency in responding to concerns raised and facilitated resolution process for 150 cases within three months of product launch.- Developed a Microsoft Dynamics CRM-based platform to manage stakeholder inquiries, conduct public consultation, and report to 2,000+ NGOs, industry groups, governments and think tanks.- Curated communication campaigns to enhance employee engagement and build external partnerships. Organized two panel discussions featuring environment ministers and C-suite executives.- Reviewed and analyzed project design documents to ensure environmental and social standards (Environmental and Social Framework/Safeguards) of World Bank-financed COVID19 emergency lending and regular investment projects in multiple sectors including public health, waste management, urban development, technology and education.- Co-supervised and mentored junior staff. Youth Innovation Fund provides annual grants of $150K to incubate and support youth-led, outcome-driven actions and ideas to address public challenges. The Fund is housed under the World Bank's Y2Y Community. - Built partnership with World Bank Group senior management in respective subject areas and thought leadership to create a network of mentors in providing coaching, resources and tools necessary for project teams to achieve aspirational goals.- Served as an ambassador to promote visibility of the Fund, define branding strategy, and enhance employee engagement. Organized pitch competitions for 80 project proposals from 32 countries.

BioCarbon Fund was the first carbon fund established in the world to protect natural forests, restore degraded lands and enhance value chain creation. It was a $90M public-private partnership initiative leveraging carbon offsets to support forest conservation, land restoration, sustainable agriculture and sustainable livestock management projects that generate multiple revenue streams for smallholder farmers, rural communities and indigenous peoples. Through the sales of emission reductions (carbon credits), we built a network of governments, businesses, civil society, and local communities in managing supply chain environmental and social responsibility. - Lead presenter at 30 investor meetings and author of the Fund's annual reports; Defended funding decisions and secured $6+ million annual operating budgets in reporting and business planning with Syngenta Foundation, Government of Spain, Government of Canada and the French Development Agency, and Japanese utility companies.- Negotiated exit/restructuring of 12 long-term emission reduction purchase agreements, increased productivity by 60% and reducing costs by 15% annually.- Engaged NGOs, industry associations and think tanks in outreach efforts to policy makers to advocate for an international policy change at UNFCCC COP20, culminating in the adoption of a revised policy that enabled better market access and improved financial performance of forest and land use carbon projects.

CGD is a "think and do" tank consistently ranked among the top 20 most influential global think tanks in international development policy and advocacy campaigns. I served as a founding member for the Sustainable Finance team.- Founding member of the Sustainable Finance team; worked with senior experts to develop policy research, policy analysis, and background papers on carbon tax, carbon capture and storage, federal energy subsidies, REDD+, electric cars, and smart cities.- Identified top market trends and technology transformation in the energy and utilities industry and drafted monthly newsletters as part of branding strategies to strengthen the think tank’s brand in sustainable finance, grew subscribers from 800 to 2,500 in 6 months- Contributed to fundraising proposals that secured a $5 million grant from Government of Norway to support research and advocacy efforts for conservation of tropical forests.- Collected and managed data for quantitative and qualitative analysis on fintech and retail payment systems in identifying policy proposals to promote financial inclusion in emerging markets through better regulations; contributed to drafting a research proposal that resulted in securing of a $1.5+ million grant from the Gates Foundation.

Yuanta Venture Capital is the venture capital arm of Yuanta Securities, the largest brokerage house in Taiwan with 12% of market share in the Taiwanese stock market. Yuanta provides venture capital investments, management consulting and investment banking networks to help startups in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, China, southeast Asia.- Fostered relationships with entrepreneurs in solar energy, wind power, internet, apparel, food & beverage industries to identify potential investment opportunities; initiated 3 ongoing negotiations about final deal structuring.- Built forecasting models and conducted due diligence to examine 18 prospective investments’ projected short- and long-term growth based on market trends, sales projections, valuation, and credit risks; earned corporate-wide award for outstanding performance.

- Built a team of twenty members and developed project roadmap for 400 field surveys and data collection from year-long psycholinguistics experiments; identified data trends and correlations via statistical analyses to evaluate and prove concepts.- Guest lectured 200 graduate and college students on Excel, data management and predictive analysis.
