Systems Engineer
CurrentWork in the Medical Informatics group to design, develop, and modify application systems. Interact with end users to ensure existing systems are meeting end user needs and installs new software applications and operating systems as well as enhance, monitor, test, and troubleshoot existing application systems.Design, develop, and integrate patient prediction and research machine learning software (Robert Wood Johnson Foundation). Work on opioid abuse medical research data analytics project.Work on dental ontology (semantic ontology) translation (OWL, TTL ,etc) and produce SPARQL queries for data analysis by using Python, Protege, GraphDB.Design and develop health informatics softwares, electronic medical records system and help medical research projects (CareWeb/G3, Prospect, ePro, OHDSI, disease surveillance, etc.)Involve in NLP (Natural Language Processing) team: upgrade pipeline application, install/debug client's NLP systems, Solr search queries, and user interface development.Technologies include Java/J2EE, Solr, Hadoop, Spark, ZK, Javascript, jQuery, Ajax, JSON, Spring Framework, Maven, D3, Knockout, Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, SQL/RDB, JDBC, Web Services, OAuth, CAS, JSF, JSP, , Hibernate, Struts, Velocity, Lucene, GraphDB, RDF, SPARQL, Apache, D3, React, Docker, Python, and Superset
