I lead the Liongard engineering organization in building our security configuration monitoring solution that connects to 100 different APIs more than 1 million times per day across over 70,000 customer environments to assess the configuration states of firewalls, networks, websites, servers, cloud assets, and the many other things IT service providers maintain. Our platform scales in real-time in the AWS cloud to gather terabytes of data and make it available via our own RESTful API and website to thousands of IT professionals and other applications.

Detechtion acquired Enbase and I became the leader of all its software development efforts for all of our combined products: Internet of Things hardware and software for remotely monitoring and optimizing equipment in the upstream energy field, especially natural gas compressors. Detechtion's software algorithms and hardware can detect problems and fix them. We also made a native phone application with sophisticated data replication features to help field workers document their activities from remote locations. Our software handles big-data time streams containing trillions of rows of data.

I was hired to lead software product development for Enbase and transform the company from a 5-person contracting shop into a provider of cloud software applications. We started from $0 and built to millions of dollars in annual subscriptions before being acquired. I designed the software architecture, wrote much of the code, and led the teams that built our Fieldlink and Enbase Hub cloud products that are used to monitor and control remote industrial equipment. I created an innovative software architecture based on technologies new at the time such as NoSql databases for replication, ElasticSearch, and deployment of all our infrastructure in the AWS cloud.

Triple Point acquired ROME Corp and I continued to lead the software engineering team for the Credit Risk product while integrating it into the larger product suite of the new company.

I co-founded ROME to build a web software product to track the financial credit risks associated with commodities trading in response to the collapse of Enron and widespread confusion about its web of financial obligations. I designed the software architecture and hired a team to build it. The Credit Risk product computes the credit exposure resulting from commodities trading operations, taking into account all contractual netting rules, collateral, guarantees, default probabilities, etc. The resulting company and product achieved revenues of tens of millions of dollars in annual revenue before being acquired by Triple Point Technology in 2008.
