The time I spent at First Merchants as a Project Manager allowed me to learn how to manage successful projects with the right team, and complete those projects on time and on budget; two of the most important rules in PM.Intiatives that I worked on at FMC included the deployment of an imaging solution for the company's loan documentation, the development and maintenance of the company's intranet site, and the development and implementation of a secure checking/overdraft protection program for the bank's customers. I also served as the Project Analyst for corporate mergers. In this role, I was responsible for the coordination of team meetings, keeping all documentation for the merger updated and distributed to all team members, and updating the corporate project schedule for each merger. In this role, I learned how important effective communication is to the success of any major corporate initiative.
