•Making and implementing plastic purchasing annual budget and cost saving plan followed the Global targets. Follow-up and report the implementation process monthly/quarterly with figure to the global commodity manager. And also support them to buy components from Chinese supplier directly. Plastic components cost saving achieved -5.3% with more than 5 million RMB in 2012 at the top 1 in the commodity team.•Building a robust and flexible supplier chain through supplier strategy/QBR meeting and improving the supplier performance in QCD and supplier reduction and developing the potential suppliers.•Signing the contract with qualified suppliers and manage all supplier to manufacture goods according to Husqvarna group’s related rules.•Nylon and plastic raw material marketing trend monitor and analysis and focus on the industry up to date states.•New projects follow up in tooling and components supplier selection/price negotiation/sample and schedule.•Managing more than 1,500 sets tools for plastic/die-casing/die components including life time/replacement tool IR application/price negotiation and confirmation and tooling agreement/PO sign.•Implementation and improving supplier switch and tooling transfer purchasing process.
