Deepwater Energy Conference (DEC) is hosted by China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the People’s Government of Hainan Province, in cooperation with the Ministry of Land and Resources P.R.C, the National Energy Administration P.R.C and the State Oceanic Administration P.R.C.• Responsible for developing and maintaining effective working relationship with major national oil companies (CNOOC, CNPC), governmental groups and key decision makers.• Monitor key announcements and field developments in the China upstream sector, engaging with business partners and product suppliers to ensure the products meet project specifications.• Contribute to developing and creating promotional materials i.e. brochures, newsletters, meeting packs, press releases, in partnership with the Design and Media team.• Work closely with Technic Developing department of CNOOC to develop programme for the “Deepwater Energy Conference” including research into topics/contents, inviting the distinguished guests and the most appropriate speakers in the Oil & Gas industry, structuring of information into programme with clear objectives. • Generate new business and clients through a variety of methods such as phone, face to face meetings, attending social events.• Responsible for exploring and developing new business opportunities like providing technical support and performing preliminary design for CNOOC.

Involved in BP QUAD 204, a £3bn redevelopment project and is one of the biggest project in the UK North Sea field), mainly responsible for the design of flexible pipeline system. The main job duties are as follows:a) Worked closely with BP to understand their needs.b) Verify the analysis work performed by third party suppliers (like Technip, Oceaneering, etc.) on BP’s behalf within the project.c) Evaluated risks and developed solutions & strategies to overcome project obstacles.d) Performed BP QUAD204 subsea flexible system installation analysis to inform the installation procedures and the limiting environmental information to the installation contractor.

Responsible for all the dynamic analysis related activities, using Orcaflex to analyze the environmental load effects on the different subsea systems to ensure that the product responses remain within design allowable limits and the system meets industry standards.
