A 27-year practitioner in China and the U.S. since 1997, I worked at Jones Day (Shanghai), Sidley (NYC) and Simmons & Simmons (Shanghai). I was a resident attorney in Shanghai since 2001. My experience covers foreign direct investments into and from China, acquisitions and divestitures, projects, venture capital/private equity investment, corporate financing, and IP (transnational & strategies). I advise U.S. and European clients on their cross-border M&A and investment activities. I acted as outside general counsel for the China operations of Stepan Company (NYSE "SCL") from 2001 to 2004 and from 2006 to 2015. I also act as an outside general counsel for Chinese companies, funds and fund management company in connection with their investment activities in the U.S. and Europe.Offered the Asia Pacific/ Greater China General Counsel positions at Anheuser-Busch InBev SA/NV (NYSE "BUD") in 2006 and at Stepan Company in 2013, I have been Asia Pacific/ Greater China General Counsel with IEdrives, Inc. since July 2013. In the general counsel capacity, I support and advise business units and other function departments on all matters relating to the Asia Pacific/ Greater China, including M&A, joint venture, IP and other projects.I travel frequently in the U.S., Europe and China and have developed an extensive network of contacts and resources.
