• Performed ultimate strength assessment of fixed offshore steel platforms. Created 3D SACS structure model of platforms, applied wave load, wind load and converted to USFOS. Conducted In-place ultimate strength analysis and determined Structural Reserve Strength Ratio (RSR). Prepared structural assessment report.• Conducted seismic analysis for fixed offshore steel platforms. Carried out in-place linear static strength and SLE assessments using SACS. Derived the equivalent earthquake loads for DLE. Performed ultimate strength and DLE assessments using USFOS.• Utilized AutoCAD to draft drawings for offshore fixed steel platforms and identifying scope of works for offshore underwater inspections.• Produced the loading-moment (P-M) interaction diagrams for the ring section of a concrete pile with longitudinal reinforcing bars. Assumed different bending axis and hand calculated the load and moment.• Calculated the wave in jacket force and wave in deck force by writing MATLAB and VBA codes, solved high order stream function wave theory numerically. Found a way to estimate wave in Jacket force and wave deck force together.• By calculating max shear force from different hurricane criterias, and estimating robustness score, consequence of failure from inspection reports and drawings, found an efficient solution to estimate the probability of failure for fixed platforms in the Gulf of Mexico.• Developed a structural integrity management (SIM) platform to produce a cost-effective long-term inspection plan for thousands of offshore structures in Gulf of Mexico. The SIM platform significantly reduced operating costs for most cases, and improved understanding of structural risk from hurricanes and other events.

• Utilized ABAQUS to perform structural analysis with the sliding end of steel bridge connection between Yetagun A and D platforms.• Developed a method to calculate local joint flexibility of tubular K joints by ABAQUS and theoretical calculation, utilized Mathematica to fit the data and find out the parametric expressions. • Read Piping & Instruction diagram and safe charts, find integrity critical fixed equipment vs associated safety devices for Chevron’s platforms in the Gulf of Mexico.

• Designed and analyzed steel structures and concrete facility building of a tennis court in Zhejiang, China. Connected the concrete building and steel structure together to reduce the usage of steel. Analyzed the column, truss and joints by hand calculation. Compared result with PKPM analysis.• Estimated and calculated the design modification cost according to the customers’ requirements.
