Chengyao Zhou Email and Phone Number

Chengyao Zhou is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance at Case Western Reserve University. Originally from China, she holds a bachelor's degree in human kinesiology. Zhou's dance journey began during her college years, exploring jazz, hip-hop, and popping in China before delving into contemporary dance and ballet. Her contemporary piece, "Sexonality," was featured at Guangdong Modern Dance Week, a prominent event in China's contemporary dance scene. Zhou has contributed to the arts extensively, choreographing for the China Railway Art Troupe, teaching various dance styles to adults, and participating in productions such as Janice Rosario’s "Brink," and Gary Galbraith’s "Spaces and Places" during her time at CWRU. In 2022, she was awarded a partial scholarship from Gibney Dance in New York City for their winter contemporary dance program.
