I graduated with a BS in Applied Mathematics/Statistics from San Jose State University. I have a strong background in quantitative sciences through my degree and previous experience working with raw data at the Shaffer Avian Physiology and Ecology Lab. In addition, my data science skills were sharpened through the Applied Data Science Program, where I gained hands-on experience in data cleaning, data analysis, and statistical analyses. My capstone project challenged me as my objective was to build a regression model that accurately predicts the target variable. I successfully interpreted patterns in the data, created a Random Forest model that accounted for 97% of the variance in the target variable, and prepared a summary analysis that featured crucial findings and actionable recommendations. Through my past experience, I have built and exercised my theoretical foundation and practical knowledge of data science. I invite you to look at my profile for further details about my experience.
Listed skills include Matlab, Microsoft Word, Java, R, and 5 others.
