My belly can vouch for my passion for food and coffee👌I get asked many questions about my culinary education, so do you know how to cook?Unlike most of my classmates, I did not go to culinary school with the intention of being a chef or baker. My grandparents run a small grocery to this day, and while watching them since young, I knew that I wanted to start my own business in the future.I just wanted to learn everything possible about the food industry to fulfil my small dream of opening my coffeehouse. A little ambitious I must say, because 7 in 10 F&B businesses close down within three years. I went to culinary school and enjoyed my time learning how to run service operations, revenue & cost management, and marketing for food establishments. Among the subjects I've learnt, the business aspects of my course appealed to me more. I picked up editing graphic design software like Adobe Creative Cloud Express and Canva through various school assignments. With a keen eye for aesthetics, I also designed social media mock-ups, menus and other materials. I love looking at how businesses grow with their outreach efforts through different mediums. My most recent job was a driver management role at Grab where I was responsible for delivering programs, copywriting and publishing communication materials that drive partner engagement and loyalty. As part of this role, I also worked closely with internal stakeholders to drive rewards and activity for the Grab driver and delivery partners. brb, serving the nation 🪖
