Lee Chen is a Research Assistant, Kellis Lab at MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL). Colleagues describe them as "Lee was one of my students during a summer technology program at Bronx Science in 2020. Lee completed all of the coursework and assignments, and he actively participated in the course projects. I have every confidence he learned the AWS and Google Cloud material that was presented. Furthermore, he took this class during the pandemic lockdown in NY, and there were no consequences if he decided to drop the course. His dedication to finishing this coursework during this time shows his ambition and self-motivation. These courses were rather intensive, and I was nervous that a number of the students would not be able to understand the value of everything that was presented without business experience. Lee definitely understood it as he told me he intends to apply his programming skills to his new cloud skills to bring some of his applications online. Lee told me he sees the value in having these foundational skills, and he wants to practice more. I had hoped students would gain the knowledge and confidence to build their own applications after taking these classes, and I was very happy to learn that is Lee’s intention. I have no doubt he will excel in a team environment, and he will thrive in an environment where he can learn. "
