Ehc Area Lead
CurrentTo lead and manage an area team in the borough (North, East or West) and to provide line management support for a team of EHC Co-ordinator’s, an Annual Review Officer and an Administrative Assistant.To provide advice, support and supervision to EHC Team staff including EHC Coordinators and Careers Advisers and in doing so, oversee annual and midyear appraisals and whole service performance in respect of meeting statutory timescales by which the service and the LA is judged.To oversee the area team’s co-ordination for integrated assessments and ensure that the 20-week statutory process for Education, Health & Care (EHC) Plans for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities, across the age range 0-25 is delivered. To ensure children and young people have appropriate support, resources, and placements in schools to enable them to achieve their maximum potential for learning.To ensure that the statutory annual review process of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP’s) is delivered and responded to within statutory timeframes, ensuring that children and young people’s needs are appropriately monitored. Support members of their team to attend multi-agency meeting’s including LAC reviews, CIN and CP meetings and all other professional meetings across Education, Health and Care team. To provide advice and support to EHC Coordinators on complex casework, maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across Education, Health and Care, as well as quality assure draft EHC Plans, to ensure that they are legally compliant.To lead and co-ordinate on the Key Stage Phase transfer process for either: Early Years, School Age or Post 16.
