Board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopaedic spine surgeon, specializing in minimally invasive techniques and complex spinal reconstructions.Clinical interests include degenerative and traumatic spinal disease, outpatient surgery, minimally invasive spine surgery, motion preservation techniques, disc replacements and spine fracture care. Research interests include enhanced recovery after surgery, patient outcomes, emerging technologies and techniques, medical education and healthcare economics.I received my medical degree at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. I completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Toronto. Under the UToronto hospital system, I completed a combined orthopaedic and neurosurgical fellowship in complex spine and trauma surgery at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center and St. Michael’s Hospital.
