I am a master student majoring in statistics at University of Minnesota. In this program, I have developed strong statistical modeling and programming skills using both R and SAS. I built solid knowledge about generalized linear models and multivariate analysis and applied them to a couple of projects dealing with real datasets. I also enriched my curriculum with biostatistics and computer science courses. In the course of Data Mining, I learned many advanced methods in Classification and Association Analysis, which are more specific but also useful in practical analysis.I also have proven communication skills. As the teaching assistant for the course Advanced Social Statistics, I was responsible for introducing many advanced statistical topics to the grad students in Sociology who have little statistical background. This involves leading labs, holding office hours, and communicating via email. And the students all found it an interesting and useful course after that semester.Now I am looking for a data analyst job. With my solid statistical knowledge base and communication skills, I am confident of being helpful and improving myself if I am offered such an opportunity.
