As an audit intern, I was involved in Audit planning under RSM which involves a comprehensive understanding of the business, risk assessment, and formulation of the audit strategy. During the audit, different financial statement balances are examined, and evidence is evaluated against audit objectives. The process includes investigating exceptions, documenting procedures and findings in line with auditing standards, and ensuring compliance with the Code of Professional Conduct. In the reporting phase, audit findings are summarized and communicated to management and governance. The required procedures are completed before issuing the audit opinion on the financial statements.
