Responsible for the functioning, strategizing and realization of the legal tasks and objectives of this independent legal entity. This involves activities to support entrepreneurs, stimulate business on Bonaire and safeguard the interests of entrepreneurs. Bonaire

• Together with the General Managing Director (GMD) forms the Managing Board responsible for the daily financial and operational management of the Bank, including development and execution of its short and long-term.
• Daily tasks are amongst others ensuring portfolio growth, budget monitoring and safeguarding that profit plans are met, execution of our Corporate Social Responsibility, product and service development and marketing.

Bonaire

• Responsible for effective and efficient overall management of Corporate Credit, Small Business Unit, Premium banking, Retail banking and 2 branches.
• Identifying of operational improvement needs in these sales departments and making recommendations to the GMD to enhance the Bank’s profits and market share.
• Ensuring the quality and timeliness of work performed by the respective teams.
• Ensuring proper human resource management, including assessing of staff performance, and proper communication by providing motivation and guidance.
• Assisting in effective management of the customer relationships and ensuring the highest standard of customer service.
• Responsible for providing leadership, supporting, monitoring and enhancing the Sales and Service culture.Risk assessment and adjudication of commercial and retail loans.

Bonaire

• Responsible for effective and efficient overall management of Corporate Credit, Small business Unit, Credit operations and Personal Loans & mortgages department.
• Identifying of operational improvement needs in the credit department and making recommendations to the GMD to enhance the Bank’s profits and market share.
• Ensuring for proper human resource management and communication within the department, including provide motivation and guidance.
• Assisting in effective management of the customer relationships and ensuring the highest standard of customer service.
• Providing general guidance to the credit staff regarding preparation of credit requests, developing of client call programs and cross selling opportunities.
• Supervising of credit administration and exercising credit portfolio control.

Bonaire

• Temporary assignment to reorganize the credit department. Analysis of the organization structure of the Credit area of Maduro & Curiel’s (Bank) Bonaire N.V with the aim to propose an improved and more efficient client.
• Implementation of the new recommended organization structure for the small business unit, corporate credit, retail credit and credit administration.
• Analysis of the quality of personnel in the above mentioned departments and identify training needs.
• Review of all applicable laws and regulations enforced by the Dutch regulators DNB and AFM to ensure compliance of the Credit department with these.
• Creation of new policies and procedures including the required controls, checks and balances for optimal retail and commercial loan processes and implementation hereof.
• Training and coaching of the commercial account managers and retail loan officers to enhance their risk analysis skills and improve the quality of their credit presentations.

Curacao

• Management & coaching of a department consisting of 5 account managers.
• Risk assessment and underwriting of credit requests up to a maximum of Usd 300.000 of all MCB subsidiaries in Bonaire, Sint Maarten and Aruba through the SME loan underwriting system Financecenter.
• Defining and implementation of a short and long-term strategy for the department.
• Product & service development for the small business clients.
• Public relations activities to increase awareness of the possibility for the community to start with their own business but also to promote the department.
• Development and implementation of innovative projects (trainings, events, tv programs) and sales campaigns to boost client acquisition.

Curacao

• Presentation of corporate credit requests;
• Risk assessment and evaluation of corporate credit requests;
• Analysis of financial statements;
• Account and delinquency monitoring and control;
• Client acquisition amongst others through networking;
• Relationship building with clients;

Curacao

• Analyzing of financial statements of insurance companies and pension- funds;
• Evaluation of the regulatory compliance of these institutional investors;
• Adjudication of requests for operational licenses;
• Execution of special research/ projects;
• Other supervisory activities related to these institutional investor
