About Cheri Beck

I have worked for the California Legislature for 28 years starting with Senator Fred Marler. I also worked for Senators Ray Johnson, Jim Nielsen, and Maurice Johannessen. When Jim was an Assemblyman, I also worked for him during that time.My husband and I owned and operated a full service steakhouse in Yuba City before moving up here to Redding. I also worked as the Public Affairs Officer for CalTrans for a period of time.I am continuing to work in the community as a volunteer and as a member of CrossPointe Community Church, Redding Chamber of Commerce, Shasta Damboree, 75th Anniversary of Shasta Dam Committee, Redding Republican Women, The Gatekeepers Program, Shasta Historical Society, and Shasta Lake Heritage and Historical Society. I have added Simpson University to my area of community service. Packed lots of bags for new students. Also helped with the awesome business luncheon. Will be greeting new students on Friday, Aug. 30.The Redding Chamber of Commerce Business Expo was great! Lots of enthusiasm and a great opportunity to connect with the business people in our area.
