I graduated college with a business concentration in accounting. Looking back on why I chose this path, I wanted a profession that would allow me to support myself, I like looking at the big picture and organization. I also don't mind crunching numbers and I love spreadsheets. I went from an office manager at my children's daycare/preschool to a Senior Accountant at an University to a short stint as a Project Manager. Accounting supported our family all the way through both kids completing high school. This experience taught me so much. I learned how to use many different computer systems, grants and grant accounting, travel expenses, procurement, payroll and so much more. Most importantly and my favorite part, I learned about people.
