Back in 1996 while I was a Corporate Tax Accountant I developed a very painful frozen shoulder and my doctor suggested I try Yoga. I didn't know it at the time, but my life would change forever. Now I am a full time Yoga teacher helping people navigate their path to wellness.I specialize in working with people who think they can not access Yoga as a tool; those with chronic illness, mature and elderly adults, those healing from injury or sickness. I have personally experienced the power of Yoga and it is my passion to help others.I offer several group classes in Friendswood as well as private lessons. I teach people of all ages and abilities how to use the tools of Yoga to strengthen their bodies and minds. My extensive training and knowledge enables me to adapt poses when necessary and encourage students to explore their own possibilities.I also provide one on one Yoga for individuals who are dealing with health issues. This form of Yoga addresses the relationship we have with our bodies in order to facilitate healing through the use of breath work, meditation, movement and visualization. There is very exciting ongoing research to support the power of Yoga used in conjunction with conventional medical treatment and I am excited to be on the forefront of this movement.
