As the Director of Energy & Sustainability, my primary role was guiding Chico State in meeting carbon neutrality and climate resilience goals. I worked with all divisions and units in driving positive change. In my tenure at Chico State, I served as the primary author of the now adopted Climate Action and Resilience Plan, reinvigorated the Campus Sustainability Committee, and lead the charge in getting a permanent bike path through the core of campus.

I built Sierra Nevada's widely-recognized sustainability program from the ground up and was responsible for strategic development of the program for 12 years. My responsibilities included developing and implementing employee training programs, working on continuous process improvements and efficiencies, developing and maintaining KPI metrics, acting as point of contact for all media and speaking engagements, serving as company representative in industry and policy conversations.

The Recycling and Rubbish Exhibit (RARE) educated K-8 school groups on the history, journey, and importance of the four R's: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Rot. Students were introduced to this world via a hands on exhibit as well as in-class presentations. As Program Director, I managed the budget, staff, and scheduling of the program as well as developed curriculum and gave presentations.
