I led a team of 10 specialist cartographers and GIS analysts to deliver spatial services and support to internal and external clients. In March 2017, I led a small technical team to develop the Cyclone Debbie Damage Assessment Tool within 24 hours. My role was hands-on, working together with my team, external data providers, Emergency Services, Defence and the Land and Spatial information team in Brisbane to gather the relevant information and technical expertise to develop the web mapping services, stand up the web mapping application in ArcGIS Online and create the Survey 123 mobile app. This innovative solution recognised by the Director General with a nomination for the DNRME’s Annual Achievement Award and highlighted on our social media channels with a video story (see link below).I represented North Region on the Spatial Information Business Forum – a statewide network of executives and managers that identified, prioritised and progresses business improvement opportunities, identified strategic requirements and future capabilities and facilitates communication and collaboration across our spatial teams comprising over 200 spatial information officers. Key projects include:- Regional Data Management Strategy- IGNIS development (Mobile field application for the State Land Management team)- Redevelopment of the SIR database (Queensland Government’s spatial data repository)- Place Names reform - Cadastre QLD Transformation- Spatial Information Conference - Queensland Globe 2.0

While I was working for the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA), I built, maintained and upgraded the ESRI-based enterprise geodatabases and ArcGIS server environments (DEV, TEST and PROD). I also managed a team of cartographers and GIS analysts to deliver the first externally facing web mapping application known as Reef Explorer and a metadata search tool called Geoportal, which required a comprehensive rewrite of all our metadata to comply with the ISO 19115 standard. While most of my time at GBRMPA was spent managing my team to deliver outcomes and liaising with clients to develop spatial solutions, I also arranged the acquisition and supply of spatial data, produced publication-quality maps, briefs of evidence for legal proceedings, spatial analysis and interactive mapping tools for many major projects. These included:- Shen Neng I ship grounding on Douglas Shoal- Strategic Assessment of the Great Barrier Reef- Crown of Thorns starfish outbreaks - Reef Permits System - Eye on the Reef App
