Roles and responsibilities include, but not limited to:Audit methodology subject matter expert including performing consultations with engagement teams, including, but not limited to SOX controls approach and multilocation scoping;Methodology senior manager for the Caribbean Region (consists of seven territories);Drafting and disseminating new methodology guidance for local territory and region;Performing and reporting internal quality reviews of audit engagement files across the Caribbean Region under the regional quality review program for multiple industries;Performing external quality reviews across the global network;Lead project manager and knowledge champion for audit software tool (Aura) including implementation and role out of software upgrades for the various territories on an ongoing basis;Development of annual audit update materials and course outline for the Caribbean Region as well as running the training courses (this includes PCAOB training);Maintaining readiness, compliance and dealing with external regulators and related reviews including Public Company Accounts Oversight Board (PCAOB);Drafting and monitoring of Firm’s risk management plans including, but not limited to enterprise-wide risk and assurance risk;Quality and Efficiency Coach on a large engagement looking to go public within the short term;Responsible for the implementation and roll out of the new ISA Audit Report. This involves coordinating pilot teams across the region and preparing them for first issuance and review of their audit opinions.

Roles and responsibility involved the following: Leadership: Manager of various reinsurance audit engagements with the largest engagement being an SEC registered (accelerated filer) reinsurance company that went public in 2007 which involved managing senior associates and associates on the engagement. During the 2009/10 year, due to limited resources, was also given the opportunity to act as team manager prior to promotion. Promotion to manager was effective date July 1, 2010 (prior to promotion acted as lead senior). In 2011/12 led the insurance and reinsurance group with implementation and role out of new audit methodology software. Time management: Ensure quality service to clients and timely completion of the engagement with a heavy focus on effective project management.Skill set: Complete detail review of various SEC filing documents such as detailed review of Form 10-K (including audit of Financial Statements), Form 10-Q’s, S-1, S-3, S-4, 14A’s, and 8-K’s. In depth knowledge of US GAAP, SEC filing requirements, BMA statutory filing requirements (Class 3A and 4), acquisition accounting, pro-forma financial statements, and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations. Client Driver of two market initiatives which involves high level of project management, development of protocols and best practices and people management of senior members of the team. Learning: Completion of required firm IFRS training programs and latest accounting pronouncements including SEC updates. Coaching: Instructor for various training programs (reinsurance and SEC reporting) provided to new and experienced senior associates. Also provided roll out training to partner group and below on new audit software. Counsellor for two senior associates and one associate.
