I am not typical in my career path. I went from exercise physiologist, government grants, healthcare, professor, entrepreneur, health coaching, and bringing SEL, and non-cognitive competencies into a start-up using coaching. I've been faculty in B.S. and M.S. Exercise Physiology programs and a PhD program in health and wellness-focused on teaching wellness coaching competencies to healthcare practitioners. I have extensive research, healthcare, and grant experience. In addition, I have helped develop curricula for health and wellness coaching programs accredited by the NBHWC, and have managed coaching teams. My career took a right turn, and I joined a start-up to start the coaching department and then eventually managed an agile team of learning experience, multimedia, and UX/UI designers to help students succeed in college and professional development experiences. I now have the immense honor of leading the the University of Minnesota’s Earl E. Bakken Center’s Integrative Health and Wellbeing Health Coaching M.A. and certificate programs. During all of this, I have continued to grow my businesses, helping over 2500 coaches up skill (wellnesscoachingelevated.com) or help those seeking NBC-HWC credentials become health coaches through my NBHWC approved training program the School of Inclusion Health Coaching (www.inclusivehealthcoach.com). Supporting the health and wellness coaching discipline, however I can, is my passion. Lastly, I am an author of a children's book called A Kids Book About Chronic Pain.
