Director of Communications for Cedar Fair California Parks: Knott’s Berry Farm and California’s Great America

• Developing and implementing an integrated public relations and communications strategy that supports and enhances the Air New Zealand brand strategy and delivers on the commercial objectives in the North American markets• Handles the day-to-day relationship with the public relations agency to ensure that Air New Zealand is positively and accurately represented in the media in the region. Provides ongoing direction to public relations agency to ensure that global and regional communications are in line with brand and marketing strategy.• Creating and implementing a social media strategy that creates both standalone PR opportunities and support of the region’s marketing plan• Developing mainstream and social media networks that drive critical reach and create unique opportunities to generate interest, following and headlines• Liaises with Canada Marketing representative to provide direction on public relations, sponsorship and promotional activity, and to coordinate efforts• Promoting a positive image of Air NZ products, destinations, services and management in the marketplace, and upholding the corporate image and position during crisis management situations• Support the ongoing commercial viability of the business by contributing to effective annual business plans and consequently the management of costs, revenues and suppliers.
