My life long struggle with fibromyalgia and a rear end car accident in 1996 keeps me from doing anything too strenuous but I won't let that stop me. I can't dance anymore but I can still sing to the music! I can't run with the big dogs but I can waddle with the little ones! DOG TRAINING: I have been training people and animals to communicate for 30 years. I have studied everything from dog behavior with Ian Dunbar & Karen Pryor, dog breeding with Pat Trotter & Pat Hastings to sports psychology with George Alston. I also attended courses in animal studies at Cornell. EXPERIENCE: I have always worked with animals. I started as a kennel girl, then dog groomer, animal control tech, veterinary medical supply delivery, 2 service dog organizations & therapy dog evaluator. Eventually I had my own dog training and pet sitting business. GOALS: My current goals are much more simple. I want to breed beautiful & healthy Shiba Inus and show them for conformation & obedience titles. Hopefully I will be able to teach at the Firstenburg Community Center in Vancouver, WA once again.WRITING: I'm working on several dog breeder related articles and writing and illustrating children's books which is something I've always wanted to do. GOALS: My goal is to get something finished & published.ART: Every few years I turn out a new project like sculpture, stained glass, embelished furniture, over sized acrylic paintings on wood, signage, etc. GOALS: I would like to do a lot more creating so my goal is to set aside time for art.Specialties: *As a dog trainer I specialize in hard to reach dogs, dogs that owners do not understand. So I teach people to think dog. *As an artist my specialty is painting caricatures of animals in bright primary colors. I photograph the work and then use the computer to enhance it for use in my Cafe`Press Shops.*As a writer I specialize in children's stories that teach understanding and acceptance of all living beings.
