My job was to oversee all aspects of our advertising and marketing strategy, making sure that the “Hanna Andersson” brand presented a consistent thread through all the promotional activities we did. I also developed and produced marketing materials like catalogs, promotional pieces, and other branding vehicles, and managed the day to day marketing operations, supervising nine creative staff, managing budgets, negotiating contracts, purchasing printing, and working with vendors. In my public relations role, I handled all aspects of public relations including media contact, writing press releases, product placement, monitoring of corporate media exposure, serving as spokesperson, and working with our outside public relations firm. While I was there, catalog circulation increased from 3.5 to 14 million, and annual sales doubled, going from $20 million to $47 million.
